Version 10 Update History

==================
10.00.70 - 8/3/2010 - Current Version
==================

  • Added the ability to copy the account ID from the Customer Entry screen. The account ID only appears if QuickBooks or Peachtree is enabled.
  • Fixed a minor rounding issue in the Tender screen of Sales Invoicing.
  • Fixed an issue in Enter Customers | Merge Customers where an error would occur if you tried to merge a customer with an agreement that had an alpha numeric agreement number.
  • Fixed an issue where it was possible to create an invoice for a location that did not exist.

==================
10.00.64 - 6/16/2010
==================

  • Fixed an issue where if you canceled out the print dialog box in Print Statements the Windows cursor was still showing activity.
  • Fixed an issue in File | Import/Export | Provision Mobile Device where if a part number had a space on the end of it the export would hang.
  • Fixed an issue in Qualifications where if you changed the position of the “ID” column it was not saving the location. For this particular column, you’re still unable to change the column width.
  • Fixed an issue in the Sales Invoice List report where labor cost could be doubled under specific circumstances.
  • Fixed an issue in Dispatch Entry where if a dispatch number was manually entered and that dispatch was in-use by another user, a new dispatch was generated. Now it just clears the screen.
  • Fixed an issue where the Agreement Type and Agreement Period would not print on a dispatch ticket on the first attempt.

==================
10.00.61 - 5/26/2010
==================

  • During the checking of American Home Shield emails, ESC now tries 5 times before showing any connection errors.  This was added because some email providers have a limit on how many times per minute you can query their servers.
  • Fixed an issue where if you used email paging in ESC, service request code 4 information was not being sent.
  • Fixed an issue where if you had the print dialog box or email dialog box open in Sales Invoicing on one machine it would not allow certain operations to occur on any other workstations using ESC.
  • Fixed an issue where the fifth customer custom field was not printing properly on dispatch tickets.
  • Fixed an issue in Customer Entry where a syntax error would occur if you saved a new customer with an apostrophe in the address fields.
  • An error message will now occur in Customer Entry if you try to save a new location without a location name.
  • Added extra information to an error that occurs in Sales Invoicing if you try to save an invoice that has already been modified by a different user since you originally brought up the invoice.  The error now shows what time you started modifying an invoice and the last time it was modified.

==================
10.00.58 - 4/26/2010
==================

  • Fixed an issue in the QuickBooks integration where if an invoice was posted that had an “Equipment” type billing code on it, the tax amount would be different between QuickBooks and ESC.
  • Fixed an issue where credit memo values were being put into the “Cash” column instead of the “Charge” column on the Sales Summary report.
  • Fixed an issue on the receivables Open Invoice report where an error would occur if the “Department” filter was used.
  • Fixed an issue in Enter Vendor Credits where it was possible to have the cost information removed when saving to the database.
  • Fixed an issue on the Job Transaction Detail report where AP bill invoice numbers were not showing under the “No.” column.
  • Fixed an alignment issue on the Sales Summary report.
  • Fixed an issue in the Dispatch Schedule Report where if you were using a custom Crystal Report dispatch ticket and were printing multiple dispatch tickets you’d get a printer selection box for each ticket. We have now removed the printer selection box and now just print to the last printer that was used for printing a dispatch ticket.

==================
10.00.55 - 3/17//2010
==================

  • Fixed an issue in the Dispatch Schedule Report where ESC would only print one copy of dispatch tickets even though it was set it to print multiple copies.
  • Fixed an issue in Inventory Entry where the price of assembly parts was not recalculating properly when the average cost changed on a part in the assembly.
  • Fixed an issue in Enter Meter Readings where it was storing the values in the current month instead of the previous month when a new reading was entered.
  • Fixed an issue in the Job Profit and Loss Summary Report where the current period column was showing as a calculation instead of the actual period.
  • Fixed an extremely rare issue where it was possible to duplicate payments when completing a dispatch.
  • Fixed an issue where an error would occur if you closed the Customer Labor Rates screen while the Customer Entry screen was open.
  • Fixed an issue in Inventory Entry where price A, B and C were not updating if you changed the average cost\base price and then tabbed through the price A, B and C fields.  We now only update these fields if price A, B and C are blank.
  • Made a change in Inventory Entry where if a price book is not assigned to a part it is automatically assigned to the “All” price book.
  • Increased the From, CC, and BCC fields in the email templates to allow 255 characters.

==================
10.00.53 - 2/24/2010
==================

  • ESC now replaces any non-standard character with a blank space when importing data into ESC through the QuickBooks Connection Wizard.
  • Made the columns on the “Equipment” tab in Dispatch Entry sortable.
  • When a new company is created in ESC, the default inventory price book is now set to “All”.  Also, if the Price Book field is left blank in Inventory Entry, ESC will automatically populate “All” when saving the part.
  • When a new license key is entered into ESC, all Front Office settings will now be pushed up to Middletier.
  • Fixed an issue in Sales Invoicing where you were unable to enter a zero value for the % Credit in the Sales Technicians screen.
  • Fixed an issue in Post Schedule to Dispatch where the dates wouldn’t calculate correctly if the schedule type was “Daily” and you had a task assigned at 7 PM.
  • Fixed an issue where the “Balance” field  on a printed sales invoice was not displaying the proper mount if no payments had been tendered.
  • Fixed an issue in Setup Users where the “Post Time to Payroll” option was only appearing for ESC Accounting and “Payroll” had to be enabled.  ESC now shows the option if the integration is QuickBooks, Peachtree or ESC Accounting, regardless if Payroll is enabled or not.
  • Fixed an issue in Sales Invoicing where if you saved an invoice, brought it back up and then clicked the “Email” button, the email address was missing.
  • Fixed an issue where carriage returns were being stripped out of all notes fields.
  • Fixed an issue where a box would appear around hyperlinks when print previewing a word document.

  • Fixed an issue in Update Inventory Flat Rate Pricing where an error was occurring in the middle of the update.
  • Fixed an issue with progressively billing a quote in Sales Invoicing.  An error would occur if there were more line items on the original quote than on the progressive invoice.
  • Fixed an issue in Inventory Entry where carriage returns were being taken out in the Description field.
  • Fixed a rounding issue in Post Recurring Transactions that caused ESC to think that the transaction was $0.00.  ESC Accounting doesn’t allow zero dollar transactions to be written to the journal so an error would occur.  – ESC Accounting only

==================
10.00.51 - 2/4/2010
==================

  • Fixed an issue in Sales Invoicing where the job was not being put into the InvenAct table if a credit memo invoice template was used.

  • Fixed an issue where a journal transaction error would occur if you tried to resave an “on hold” invoice. – ESC Accounting only
  • Fixed an issue in Post Recurring Transactions where if you had a memorized transaction with an apostrophe in the transaction name, it was causing an error when trying to enter the Post Recurring Transactions screen. – ESC Accounting only
  • Added the ability to enter carriage returns using the Enter key in the “Notes” tab of Inventory Entry.
  • Added tab number shortcuts to Inventory Entry so you can use Alt + number keys to switch between tabs.
  • During the conversion to Version 10, ESC now goes through the database and automatically fills a location name for any locations that are blank.  The location name is now the first name and last name of the billing customer if the location name is blank.
  • Made a change to Report Generation where if you select the option “Select locations matching criteria” ESC will now use the location name when exporting the data.  In previous versions, ESC used only the billing customer name.

==================
10.00.50 - 1/27/2010
==================

  • Fixed an issue where if you tendered multiple credit card payments over multiple days in the Tender screen in Sales Invoicing, it would change the check date to the current date.  We have fixed this by adding a “Date” field on Tender screen for credit card payments and cash payments.
  • Fixed an issue in the Peachtree Connection Wizard where an error would occur when trying to direct connect to Peachtree on a Windows Vista or Windows 7 computer.  Along with this change, ESC must also be ran as administrator.  The KB below will show to do this.

    http://www.descosupport.com/knowledgebuilder/index.php?action=article&id=656&relid=2

  • Fixed an issue in Sales Invoicing where the “Percentage Billed” value was not being displayed when doing progressive billing.
  • Fixed an issue where if you had more than 5 digits in a zone field (Customer Entry) for a customer’s location, the last 2 digits were being chopped off.
  • Fixed an issue in Inventory Entry where it was possible to have parts assigned to other parts as alternate part numbers.
  • Fixed an issue on the Electronic Dispatch Board where if you had a dispatch selected and then clicked the option to show “History” (drop down next to board name), it wasn’t clearing the dispatch information.

==================
10.00.49 - 1/22/2010 - Official Release
==================

  • Fixed an issue where the Date Last Paid field (Enter Agreements) was being updated with a date of “01/01/0001” if you were tendering a payment for an agreement invoice in Sales Invoicing.
  • Fixed an issue where if a dispatch was assigned to multiple techs and you changed the status of the dispatch from the EDB (Electronic Dispatch Board), the prompt to change it for all techs was not appearing.
  • Fixed an issue on the Equipment tab of Report Generation where the Installation Date field was not formatting data entered as a date.

==================
10.00.48 - 1/13/2010
==================

  • Added a new field in Company | System Setup | Direct Deposit called “Company Entry Description”. This field is sometimes required by banks to have specific wording for the direct deposit pre-notification. – ESC Accounting only
  • Added a new “Recall Customer” button to the Collection Manager screen. This button is only visible on the 2nd screen of the Collection Manager.
  • Added the ability to insert a line between two items in the Parts tab of Dispatch Entry.
  • Added a “Show inactive parts” checkbox in the inventory parts search screen. This is unselected by default and inactive inventory parts will now not show by default.
  • Redesigned the “Technician” hyperlink screen in Sales Invoicing.
  • Redesigned the output selection screen in Report Generation.
  • Limited the dispatch number field in Dispatch Entry to 15 characters.
  • Fixed an issue in Enter Meter Readings where you’d get an error if you tried generating a bill for overage.
  • Fixed an issue in Sales Invoicing where job classes on an invoice were not being passed into the ledger properly. – ESC Accounting only
  • Fixed an issue in Display Statements where if you tried to email a statement to a customer with a $0.00 AR balance you’d receive an error.
  • Fixed an issue in the Merge Customers feature where the merge logic was ignoring inactive locations under a customer when trying to merge location 1.

==================
10.00.44 - 1/5/2010
==================

  • Added customer searching capabilities to the Cancel Payments / Credits, Display Statements, Print Statements and Enter Payments.  Those screens now use the same search screen that the Customer Entry, Dispatch Entry, etc. uses, however, the location section is hidden as it does not apply to those screens.
  • Added the ability to edit flat rate prices on the Flat Rate tab in Inventory Entry.  You can edit all the fields except for the “Total” field.
  • Added column sorting to the Invoices\Quotes tab in Qualifications.
  • Added logic to the Merge Customer feature to prevent a customer from being merged if they have any memorized transactions attached to them. – ESC Accounting only
  • Dispatch and invoice dates for the sample company are now pushed to 2011 and the login date is set to 9/12/2011.  This will only occur if you install the demo from the latest build and use the sample company.
  • Expanded the “Find” section when previewing reports.  Some of the wording was being chopped off in the window.
  • ESC now password protects the Setup Integration to Accounting screen.  The only time you will be prompted for the password is when trying to turn off an accounting integration and setting it to “None” as this could cause problems and there should be no reason to do this.
  • When sending journal entries for inventory adjustments to QuickBooks, ESC now sends them as a single transaction.
  • Inactive customers\locations now appear with grey lettering on the customer search screens if the “Display inactive records” checkbox is enabled.
  • Took away the ability to type letters into the customer number field in Customer Entry.
  • Locked the location phone numbers from being edited on the Dispatch Entry screen.  Prior to this update you could edit the phone numbers but they wouldn’t save.
  • Redesigned the Display Statements screen.
  • Redesigned the Collection Manager screen.  The “Last Name” filter has been taken out and you can now just click into the “Customer” column and start typing in the last name.  You can now also drill down into an invoice on the second screen of the Collection Manager.
  • You can no longer delete a part from inventory if it has transactional history.
  • Fixed an issue where if an inventory part had a zero in the Warranty (months) field in the Manufacturer's tab of Inventory Entry, when the part is sold on an invoice, the warranty date displayed as 1/1/0001.  ESC now populates today’s date.
  • Fixed an issue where the Address 1 and Address 2 fields on the Customer Entry screen were not automatically capitalizing the first letter of each word.
  • Fixed an issue in the Tech Reconciliation report where the “Credit” column was merging into the “Total Hrs” column and was not horizontally aligned with the rest of the columns.
  • Fixed an issue where if you used a custom dispatch ticket (Crystal Reports) and tried to print from the EDB, you would not receive a printer selection dialog box.
  • Fixed an issue in the Peachtree integration where if you went through the Peachtree Connection Wizard and there was an account longer than 10 characters, you’d receive an error when trying to match the account to one in ESC.
  • Fixed an issue where the “Filters” button on the preview screen was missing from the following reports:
    • Budget Report
    • Income Statement 12 Period Comparison
    • Income Statement 2 Year Comparison
    • Income Statement 5 Year Comparison
    • Income Statement Budget Comparison
  • Fixed an issue where if you had a sales sort code that had a space in it and tried to run a report in ESC by that code, it wouldn’t show up on the report.
  • Fixed an issue in the “Manufacturer” tab of Inventory Entry where if you manually typed in information that wasn’t in the drop downs and then clicked “Clear”, it wasn’t clearing the data in the fields.
  • Fixed an issue in Enter Markup Codes where if you typed something into one of the fields and then saved without tabbing out, ESC wouldn’t save the changes.
  • Fixed an issue in Customer Entry where you would get multiple save prompts if you created a new customer, created a new dispatch for that customer then went back into Customer Entry.
  • Fixed an issue where if you modified an inventory part on a sales invoice, the inventory activity was not updating.
  • Fixed an issue where you’d receive an error if you deleted a part with activity and tried to use the “Fill list of warehouse parts” feature in Adjust Inventory.
  • Sorted parts imported into the Adjust Inventory screen by part number.
  • Fixed an issue with the Parts Required report. Under certain circumstances the customer name might not have been displayed when running the detailed version of this report. This will no longer happen.

==================
10.00.41 - 12/11/2009
==================

  • Added logic into the Customer Entry screen that determines whether the General tab or Locations tab is shown when bringing up a customer or going to the Customer Entry screen from a different screen.  Here is the new logic:
    • If you are using auto-fill to find a customer and then tab out, it stays on the General tab.
    • If you use the customer search screen to find a customer it automatically flip to the Locations tab when you select the customer\location.
    • If you use the “Customer” button or Activities | Edit Customer shortcut from a screen other than Customer Entry, it will automatically flip to the Locations tab and display that location.  The only screen that does not follow this rule is Sales Invoicing.  In Sales Invoicing it will go to the General tab when “Edit Customer Information” is used.
  • Added a new “Print 1099” field to the Enter Vendor Information screen for the upcoming feature that allows you to print 1099’s.  Currently, this field only appears if your accounting integration is set to “None” or “ESC."
  • Re-added the ability to merge a location under one customer into a different customer.  The invoices and receivable records from the original customer will stay under the original customer and the location under the original customer will be made inactive.  Also, any invoices under the original location will be set to “ReadOnly” (“-1” value) in the Sales table.
  • Added a new field in the Sales table called “ReadOnly”.  This field is used when a location other than location 1 is merged with another customer. This flag will be set on any invoices tied to the original location. If an invoice is set to read only, you can only print the invoice.
  • Fixed an issue in Dispatch Schedule where under certain conditions, dispatches would not appear in the middle section until you clicked into the area.
  • Fixed an issue where if running Microsoft Windows 7 and had a .bmp or .gif image as  your logo on an invoice template, you were not able to print or email the invoice.  ESC now allows you to print\email the invoice but the image is not shown.  To show your logo you’ll need to save your original logo as a .jpg file type and then put it back onto the invoice template.  This appears to be an issue in Windows 7 (XP and Vista are not affected), not with ESC.
  • Fixed an issue where zero amount statements were not printing if the invoice was paid off in the same period the statement was ran.
  • Fixed a couple of Merge Customer bugs related to merging a location that has unpaid agreement invoices.  When the location is merged, any unpaid invoices will have the agreement number blown out of the receivable tables so payments can be applied to the invoices.
  • Fixed an issue in Post Schedule to Dispatch where the promised date was not formatting properly after the first agreement.  This caused the Promised Date to default to today’s date instead of the first day of the month the agreement was posting to.
  • Fixed an issue in Customer Entry and Dispatch Entry that would cause ESC to not release memory properly.  The issue would only occur if you opened and closed both screens many times throughout the day.
  • Fixed an issue in the Make Deposits screen where if the link between a payment and the ledger was somehow broken, the Make Deposits screen wouldn’t load.  – ESC Accounting only

==================
10.00.34 - 11/23/2009
==================

  • Added a new feature in the Activities menu of Adjust Inventory called “Fill list of warehouse parts”.  This feature allows you to load all of the parts with their quantities for a specific warehouse.  There is also an option to zero the quantities when doing the import so it’s like you’re starting with nothing in the warehouse.  One thing to note with this feature is that serialized parts will not be loaded.
  • Made a change in ESC where if you try to unpost an invoice from QB and either the invoice has been deleted or the invoice has been modified in QB, we now delete the associations to the invoice in our database.  If ESC cannot find the transactional ID from QB it will display a message telling the user to go into QB and make sure that the invoice and journal transactions are manually deleted.  If the user does not go into QB and do this, they run the risk of double posting invoices.
  • Fixed an issue in Sales Invoicing where it was possible to unpost an invoice from QB but not remove the transaction ID in the Sales table.
  • Fixed an issue in Write Checks where if you manually typed in the account number (using auto-fill) into the Bank Account field and tabbed out, the balance of the account would stay at $0.00. – ESC Accounting only
  • Fixed the alignment of the columns on the right of the Open Invoice Report. – ESC Accounting only
  • Added drill downs to the “Date” and “Transaction Name” fields in the Open Invoice Report.  There was an issue in the report designer with drill downs attached to fields with null data. – ESC Accounting only
  • Made a change in ESC where if you try to unpost an invoice from QB and either the invoice has been deleted or the invoice has been modified in QB, we now delete the associations to the invoice in our database.  If ESC cannot find the transactional ID from QB it will display a message telling the user to go into QB and make sure that the invoice and journal transactions are manually deleted.  If the user does not go into QB and do this, they run the risk of double posting invoices.
  • Fixed an issue in Transfer History where if you manually typed in a different location number, the customer address wasn’t updating.
  • Added back in the ability to print invoices that are in a closed period. – ESC Accounting only

==================
10.00.33 - 11/16/2009
==================

  • Fixed an issue in Sales Invoicing where if you were progressively billing a quote, the default location’s tax code was always being used instead of the tax code you chose on the quote.
  • Fixed an issue on the Electronic Dispatch Board where if you recalled a dispatch it would always fill location 1 into the Location field.  This was a major issue because if you saved that dispatch it would re-save that dispatch as a dispatch for location 1 instead of the original location that it was tied to. This issue also effected moving the customer\location number from other modules to Customer Entry and Dispatch Entry.

==================
10.00.32 - 11/13/2009
==================

  • Moved the location notes to the “Locations” tab in Customer Entry.  If your computer resolution is set to 800x600 it will move the notes back to the “Notes” tab like in Dispatch Entry with dispatch notes.
  • Took out the “Match” button in the Enter Chart of Accounts | Edit Account screen if integrated with QuickBooks. This button didn't work if the QuickBooks account selected was already matched to a different ESC account.
  • Locked the “Cash” customer so it cannot be modified or deleted.
  • Phone numbers 1 – 4 now get sent over to location 1 when a new customer is created.
  • Added an “Options” button to the dispatch ticket layout designer.  In the options screen you can choose to print the dispatch notes, location notes and attached equipment in the body of the dispatch ticket.  The benefit to having it print in the body is that it will print all of the notes\equipment no matter how much is there.
  • Added support back into the software for XX codes in the Enter Billing Codes and Inventory Entry screen.
  • Added a field in the Setup table called “AgrPostPartsToInvoice”.  Enabling this allows you to post parts attached to an agreement task directly to the SA invoice when “With Dispatch” is selected for the agreement invoice Month to Post.  By default in Version 10, parts that are attached to an agreement task are posted to the “Parts” tab in Dispatch Entry.
  • Fixed an issue in the Dispatch Schedule screen where if you selected a dispatch in the center section of the screen and then clicked the “Techs” tab, the dispatch you originally selected would become unselected.
  • Fixed an issue where an error would appear if you saved a dispatch that was tied to a quote.
  • Fixed an issue where it was possible to have attached parts re-import onto a draw and change the dollar amount of the invoice.
  • Fixed an issue where manually typing in an invoice number was not properly re-loading the invoice.  This caused a problem because you were able to save an invoice as a quote by manually typing in a previously saved quote’s invoice number.
  • Fixed multiple issues in the Aging Report with Collection Notes report.
  • Fixed a rounding issue in Sales Invoicing with Point-of-Sale invoices.  The rounding issue was causing an error in ESC saying that the invoice was not completely paid.
  • Fixed an issue where no matter what value you put into System Setup | File Maintenance | Documents, when you ran the Monthly Maintenance Utility it was archiving all of the documents.
  • Fixed an issue where the “Assembly Sub” column was not showing in Dispatch Entry | Parts tab if you used an assembly part.
  • Fixed an issue in Inventory Entry where the Average Cost and Base Price fields were not calculating for assemblies.
  • Fixed an issue where if you brought up an assembly part in Inventory Entry, the cost fields were not being locked.
  • Fixed an issue where customer location notes were not transferring when using the Merge Customer/Location feature.  We now append the notes from the old location to the new location’s notes.
  • Deposit numbers are now mandatory in the Make Deposit screen.  – ESC Accounting only
  • Fixed an issue where it was possible to print a check that was in a closed accounting period.  The check would print however nothing would go into the general journal so accounting wise, everything was ok. – ESC Accounting only
  • Fixed an issue in payroll where the additional withholding amount was being rounded down or up to the nearest whole number instead of giving an exact figure. – ESC Accounting only

==================
10.00.27 - 10/27/2009
==================

  • Extended the amount of allowed characters for the “Serial Number” field in our database to 36 characters.  If you enter a serial number that is longer than 36 characters in the Receive Items screen you will receive an error saying that the serial number is too big.
  • Extended the width of the “Technician” column in the Schedule tab in Dispatch Entry.
  • Added a preview window in Sales Invoicing | Activities | Import Mobile\Web Invoice.  This preview allows you to see the mobile invoice line items and invoice notes that are going to be imported.
  • Added a new option in Customer Entry | Activities called “Create a job”.  This is just a shortcut that allows you to create a job from the customer\location you have up.  One thing that is different about this shortcut is that it pulls in both the customer and location automatically to the Enter Jobs screen.  The other job creation shortcuts in ESC only pull in the customer.  This was by design.
  • Fixed an issue in Dispatch Entry where if you tried to change the tech on a dispatch that had already been synced to mobile, you’d get an error when saving.
  • Fixed an issue in Enter Service Agreements | Activities | Reserve where if you backloaded a reserve amount that was not a whole number, it was rounding the “End when zero” amount up to the next whole number.
  • Fixed an issue in Inventory Entry where if you minimized the window and then right-clicked on it in the Windows Task Bar and chose “Close”, the next time you opened the Inventory Entry screen it would start in the Task Bar and be minimized.  You could get it back to the normal window again, however, it took a bit of work.

==================
10.00.25 - 10/21/2009
==================

  • Added the ability to put attached equipment into the body of the dispatch ticket.  The information that prints in the body of the dispatch ticket is pulled from System Setup | Dispatch | Set Printed Fields.
  • Added a new search field in the toolbar of the Electronic Dispatch Board.  This feature searches by just about everything loaded into the dispatch panel fields on the EDB.  After you type in what you want to search for, simply click the magnifying glass and it will sort through the dispatches on the EDB.  The order in which it sorts is the order the dispatches were loaded, which is promised date\promised time.  Here is the list of what can be searched:

    - Location name
    - Address 1
    - Address 2
    - City, State, zip

  • Added code that automatically checks for Unicode characters and replaces them with valid characters.  This resolves the error you’d get if you copied in Unicode characters from Outlook, Word, etc. and tried to save it in ESC.  This change was only made to these select “Notes” fields in ESC:  Customer Entry, Dispatch Entry, Enter Technicians\Employees, Inventory Entry and Enter Vendor Information.  Over time we will implement this improvement in high traffic areas where it’s likely users will try to copy in information.
  • Took out the options for “Include Equipment History” and “Print History on Dispatch Ticket” in System Setup | Dispatch, they are no longer used.
  • Fixed an issue in Dispatch Entry where if you entered a service request code but didn’t tab out before saving, the tasking description would not be transferred to the dispatch notes.
  • Fixed an issue in Inventory Entry and Enter Billing Codes where the first letter of every word in the description was being capitalized.
  • Fixed an issue on the Flat Rate Price Books report where the part description was not wrapping down if there was a lot of verbiage.
  • Fixed an issue in Dispatch Entry where it was possible for ESC to ignore the service request code you clicked on in the drop down.
  • Fixed an issue in the Dispatch Schedule Report where the Time On value was filling into the Dispatch Time.  This created two issues:  1) the Time On field was blank and 2) the Dispatch Time was being overwritten.
  • Fixed an issue in Print Options | Forms where ESC was not saving what you typed in the "Text for displaying Total on the invoice" field.
  • Fixed an issue in Dispatch Entry where if you manually entered an invoice number and without tabbing out you went to Activities | Create an invoice, the invoice number would not automatically fill in the preceding zeros.
  • Fixed an issue in Print Options where if you changed the default invoice template in Version 10, it was setting the wrong default value in the “Forms” table.
  • Fixed an issue where if you saved a new customer, the street part of their address wasn’t saving into the database properly.  The result of this issue is if you tried searching for a customer using the “Address” filter, it would only look at the beginning numeric part.
  • Fixed an issue where the “Contract Period” field on the dispatch ticket layout designer was pulling in the actual contract period instead the “Original contract date – Expiration date” like in Version 9.1.
  • Fixed an issue in Sales Invoicing where if you had a zero dollar invoice that had an “Other” type billing code on it and saved, you could not resave the invoice.  The exact error that occurred when trying to resave is “Error 11”.  This error only occurred if ESC Accounting was enabled.  – ESC Accounting only

==================
10.00.23 - 10/15/2009
==================

  • Added a “Customer” filter to the Post Schedule to Dispatch screen.
  • Converted the Post Schedule to Dispatch screen (filter selection part) to .NET. One of the major things to notice here is that ESC no longer puts the Date Promised to the month, such “OCT” or “NOV”. ESC now puts the Promised Date to the first of the month for annual, monthly, etc. agreement schedules. This change was made to allow for greater international date format compatibility.
  • You can no longer use the Merge Customers feature for any locations except for location 00001 if you are trying to merge with a different customer. This is a temporary fix until we can adjust the logic in ESC to move AR balances properly for customers with multiple locations.
  • Fixed an issue in Customer Entry | Notes tab where you could not use the Enter key to put a space between notes.
  • Fixed an issue in Inventory Entry where if you had Post to Equipment and Post to History as “Yes”, you were not able to change them to “No”. If you did change them to “No”, saved and then brought the part back up, ESC would change them back to “Yes”.
  • Fixed an issue where if you had a status code that was called “Complete” but had Off Job attributes, you could not change the status of it in Dispatch Entry.
  • Fixed an issue where if you created a point-of-sale invoice, left the “Clerk” field blank, tendered a payment and saved a message saying “You must enter a clerk” would appear.  If you then clicked the “Tender” button ESC would return an error message.
  • Fixed an issue where receipt printing was not working for point-of-sale invoices even though it was setup properly in Print Options.Added “check while you type” spell check to the customer location notes in Customer Entry, vendor location notes in Enter Vendor Information, technician\employee notes in Enter Technicians\Enter Employees and “Description” pop-up field in Sales Invoicing.
  • Added the new Date\Time Stamp to the fields listed above.
  • Added a new “Primary” checkbox to the contact area of Customer Entry | Locations tab. When you select a contact as the primary contact and click Save it will move that contact to the top.
    Note: We also put in a warning message for Front Office users that lets them know that the email address used for WFO will change when the primary contact is changed. Front Office always uses the first contact in the list for the email address to log into the Account Manager portion of Front Office.
  • Added a hyperlink in File | Print Options | Forms that directs users to a website (www.descoforms.com) where they can order preprinted forms that work with ESC.
  • Added the Code to the History Code drop down in Inventory Entry. ESC is also alphabetizing that list by the history code “Code” now instead of by Description.
  • You can now use the Enter key on your keyboard to bring up the customer search screen in Customer Entry and Dispatch Entry. Prior to this you had to use Alt + down arrow.
  • Fixed an issue in the Warehouse Detail report where the “Warehouse” filter was showing all warehouses instead of the range you specified.
  • Fixed an issue where you would receive a pop-up logo for Component 1 if you tried to print barcode labels.
  • Fixed an issue where if you used the “Customer” filter on a report, ESC was forcing you to enter the From and To if you only wanted to see that customer’s records. You now only have to enter the customer number into the From field like in Version 9.1.
